    Although most policy makers agree that carbon emissions need to be drastically reduced, how this is done is a major source of debate. Often what is seen as a promising approach to bureaucrats and scientists is not acceptable to the population. We’ve also seen populations (or segments of societies) demand more from their elected officials. I want to hear what you guys think is the best solution or combination of solutions to help curb emissions. Massive government investments? Cap and trading? A carbon tax? Subsidizing green energy and other eco-friendly initiatives? Can we wait until the technology is there, like carbon sequestration?

    to me i think that we must make polluting illegal.. these companies will find loop holes if we just decide to regulate the emissions. at one time in our short history we never revolved around money, this new fad of money is dominating the political battlefield. our leaders are too chicken to do things now because they allow money to dominate their thinking. they are afraid to hurt the businesses that payed for their campaigns. i think that as long as money influences our leaders, we are heading into trouble.. more so than we already are. we need to invest in greener technologies and safer practices. the world is suffering because we want more more more money. we can sell all the resources in the world, but that money wont take us very far. we have to realize that money isnt more important than the one and only world we live on. :)
