I was very pleased to see the following article in my inbox about yesterday’s event in Saskatoon. It was writen by JTC’s own Devin Heroux. See http://dheroux.wordpress.com/2011/05/28/thinking-the-world-of-sask-resources/ *** One local geologist believes Saskatchewan’s prosperity relies on going back to the future. Stephen Halabura, president and…[Read more]

Sarah Guina commented on the blog post Can JTC slay the Dragons? 1 year, 3 months ago
And indeed they can. I was fortunate to join hundreds of Saskatchewanians last night (Brett Wilson also made an appearance) to watch the action unfold and the result was a surprise to nobody in the room. Easily the best pitch ever aired on DD – which the Dragon’s also agreed with. Congrats again to Bryan [...]

Jackie – I’ve been reading all your blogs (& the teams) and I have to give you a group compliment! I know I’ve said it before but it really has been a treat to get to know you from when you first came to the GLC in March. Despite only being able to attend for [...]

I’ve been snooping & checking up as APEC has progressed. Until today I was having trouble logging in, too.
But yes, Sunday is going to be exciting. However I recall you cheering for the wrong team last year…perhaps you’ve had a change of heart?

Sarah Guina commented on the blog post Canada: Closed For Business 1 year, 6 months ago
I think the motivation is more similar to what Jackie is getting at – i.e. the provincial government is most definitely at risk to lose billions in revenues over the next 5 years, and potentially more depending on BHPs business plan if acquired. (Yay for tax!) The problem is, given BHPs development currently they have [...]

My CSR: 1 year, 7 months agoHello again!
I want to share a quick update to let you know that the Saskatoon project is still a go. We have partnered with the Hanlon Centre for International Business to throw a full symposium and networking event in January of 2010. Unfortunately there were too many date conflicts during the first semester of studies (due to the later start…[Read more]

It’s no surprise to see excellent advise from this vet – but this post is very well put.
I especially agree wiht the notion that you shouldn’t show off – nothing looks worse. Given the nature of the event, everyone knows that you’re talented just because you’re there.

Michael – you are right that this is a huge opporunity for the future. The issue then becomes that we don’t dedicate near the resources to research as our competitors. Add to that the brain drain phenomenon and we are starting from a disadvantage. So, lets follow this up with action in true MGV style. [...]
